The majority of cigarettes sold in Uzbekistan are produced at the Samarkand Cigarette Factory. The Samarkand Cigarette Factory was built in 1997 and is equipped with the latest high-tech equipment. With a potential production capacity of 20 billion cigarettes per year, the factory has the capacity to fully saturate the local market and supply neighboring countries with world-class products.

BAT Uzbekistan is also engaged in processing and export of tobacco leaf. The company closely cooperates with farmers of Samarkand region, due to which competitive oriental types of tobacco, “Basma”, as well as the famous type of tobacco “Virginia”, which are processed at Urgut Fermentation Plant, have been mastered. Today UzBat exports to the following countries: Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Jordan, Korea, Iraq, Great Britain, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.

BAT Uzbekistan strives to carry out its activities responsibly at all stages of its operations. The company implements a number of social projects, such as the “Dreams Come True” project to provide grants to students from tobacco growers' families, the “Artesian Wells” project to provide drinking water to the population, projects to support culture, city reconstruction and many others.
